LEONARD LAUREN Obituary

LAUREN--Leonard. We have lost a treasure. Leonard Lauren passed away on August 16, 2025. He was 93. He leaves his daughters, Beth and Susan, his sons-in-law Michael and Philip, his grandsons Taylor and Brandon. He was a loving husband to Rene, a loving brother to Jerry, Thelma and Ralph and a loving uncle to each of their children. Lenny, affectionately known as "The Mayor of Palm Beach", was a young spirit, even at ninety three. He was a basketball star at DeWitt Clinton High school in the Bronx and a proud member of the Spartans. He had a cameo in The Bronx Boys documentaries featuring Carl Reiner. He later became an excellent golfer and never missed a Saturday morning tee-time at Brae Burn or The Falls Country Clubs. He attended City College in New York where he studied business. He split his time between Westchester County and Palm Beach. He made friends easily and was an engaging storyteller. He was stylish, handsome and a formidable flirt. He was artistic and creative and had developed his skills as a photographer during the Korean war when he was stationed in Germany. He was a former executive at Ralph Lauren and later had a career in jewelry packaging. He will be missed.
