LEONARD MOCHE Obituary
83, died, March 4 in Montefiore Hospital after a brief illness. He graduated from Bronx High School of Science, Columbia University (where he was captain of the debating team) and Harvard Law School. He became a litigator, working for firms until 1982, when he opened a private practice. His first marriage was to Hanneli Hall, mother of James and Mark. After her death, he married Dinah Levine. They divorced, and he married Mary Anne Gavagan, from whom he was later divorced. He was a loving father, stepfather, grandfather to Raphaela, and mentor to young lawyers. He loved the Brooklyn Dodgers, opera, dogs, European travel and book discussions. His final years were spent in the Hebrew Home at Riverdale, where he organized the daily minyan. His optimism is fondly remembered.

I was sad to learn that Leonard had died. We were classmates at Harvard Law School and then, colleagues at the same law firm many years ago. I remember his attending with his first wife and two young sons my daughter's second birthday party. Unfortunately, we each subsequently went our separate ways and lost contact with each other. He was a fine and intelligent person and I have excellent memories of him. In retrospect, I am sorry that we did not maintain our relationship.Susie and I send our sincere condolences to his sons.
