LILLIAN KAGAN

KAGAN--Lillian S., PhD, 83, of Manhattan, passed away on February 9, 2024, with her daughter holding her hand. She graduated from Far Rockaway High School, Queens College and eventually NYU with a PhD in Psychology. Professionally, over her four-decade career as a clinical psychologist, Dr. Kagan helped numerous patients - particularly other working women. Personally, Lillian was an avid reader, enthusiast of food, and a dedicated and fierce mother bear, strong-willed throughout her life until the very end. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Arleo PhD; her daughter, Elizabeth Kagan Arleo MD, and son-in-law Joshua Thompson, as well as her three granddaughters, Sophia, Michaela, and Giordana. May her memory be a blessing.
