steve and i grew up with lola & nat´s family, and the glemby family in great neck and the city. they were important, smart and sharp and funny, members of the circle of longtime friends meeting monthly for years to share, thoughts and insights experiences, their travels and their involvement with communities. And he Steve´s parents, Earl, and Irene Morse and his aunt and uncle Norma Podell and David levitt are part of the study circle. a havurah, one that I patterned Steve´s and my own out here on the west coast, when we moved - and this beach area needed an infirmed, connected, Jewish community. It grew into a temple, Congregation Tikvat Jacob 400 or so families.
Lola and Nat - etal, were an exemplary community force and She was a special woman, Lola. my father-in-law and Nat I think traveled to Russia, went to school together, Harvard or something - anyway, my condolences. may her memory be for a blessing. Shalom shalom. and my heart to my childhood elementary school friend Donald Glemby.

Lola was an important presence in our live for more than 35 years. She inspired us to become engaged in community service; encouraged us to devote our energies to making New York City a better place for all residents; and showed us how to grow old gracefully without losing a profound interest with the issues around us. We shared a love for Bellevue Hospital, working together for more than three decades to bring quality healthcare to every person who enters the hospital´s doors, regardless of ability to pay. We traveled together from the pyramids of Egypt to the Coney Island boardwalk and shared many movies, dinners, plays and civic events. We will miss our daily phone calls about politics, especially local politics, and the state of the world. Thank you, Lola, for everything. Carla Fine and Allen Oster

Thank you for all your caring endeavors. Thank you for your friendship of too few 45 years. Caring for you and your family always. Missing you always, Brenda
