MARGARET BERNSTEIN Obituary

BERNSTEIN--Margaret "Peggy", a longtime Manhattan resident, passed away peacefully at her home on September 18, 2025. A daughter of the late Nathan and Ruth Bernstein, and sister of the late Nancy Bernstein, Margaret was a graduate of the Dalton School and Cornell University. She spent her childhood on Long Island and lived in California for a brief period of time with her sister. Margaret was a talented photographer and an active member of the Camera Club of New York. She was a lover of the arts with a keen eye and impeccable taste. Margaret was thoughtful, kind and generous with a warm and welcoming smile, even to the end. Margaret was devoted to her extended family and family celebrations were highlights of her years. Margaret is survived by many cousins and good friends who adored her. She should rest in peace and will be sorely missed. Funeral service to be held at 11am on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Frank E. Campbell, 1076 Madison Avenue, New York, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret's memory can be made to Calvary Hospital/Hospice, Bronx, New York or the Nancy Bernstein Scholarship Endowment of the College of Architecture, Art and Planning at Cornell University.
