MARILYN LARGAY-BAUCH Obituary

LARGAY-BAUCH--Marilyn. Marilyn Largay-Bauch, daughter of the late Cecilia and Joseph DeLee McManus, was born in Greensburg, PA in 1934. A few years later, the family moved to Greenwich, CT where she spent her early summer years sailing and playing various sports. She attended school at Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, CT and then on to Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Upon graduation, Marilyn moved to Manhattan and worked briefly as a secretary until she met the love of her life, Arthur O. Largay Jr. She married and moved to Fair Haven, NJ and lived a wonderful life filled with tennis and golf, and enjoying the beach life at the Jersey Shore. Upon her husband's retirement in 1992, the couple moved to Carefree, AZ where she remained, taking in the diverse wildlife and all the wonders Arizona had to offer. She always commented though on her love of The Jersey Shore and spent every summer coming "home" for visits with her children, grandchildren and dear friends. Marilyn is predeceased by her first husband Arthur O. Largay Jr., and a second husband F. Bauch. She is survived by her children, Arthur O. Largay III, CT and Ellen Largay- McConnell, AZ. Also surviving her are four grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart, Brian Largay (Jira), CT, Sean Largay(Maggie), MA and John McConnell (Samantha), VA and Frank McConnell(Serena), AZ, and her first great grandchild, Owen Xavier McConnell (VA), as well as many nieces and nephews all of whom she shared a special bond with. A Mass of Remembrance was held at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church, Carefree, AZ on November 20th. A private burial will be held at the family plot in New Jersey.
