I graduated from high school in 1956 with Norman. I did not know you or your aunt. I am sorry for your loss.

Marilyn Seifert was Aunt Lyn to me. She was Daddy's sister. I loved when she came to visit at my grandparents' home for holidays in Emporia, VA when I was young.
Aunt Lyn had graduated high school in Emporia and was very interested in drama and the arts. She appeared in numerous local plays, and went on to graduate with a degree in the arts from Mary Washington College.
She moved to New York City and worked for CBS Weekend News for 45 years. As a child, I loved looking for her name in the credits and was proud she was my aunt. As a married adult, my husband and I visited her in New York whenever possible and we cherish the memories we made together.
Aunt Lyn was buried in the Greensville Memorial Cemetery with her parents. It is sad that now when we visit her, we will only be remembering times spent together instead of making new memories, but I am glad for the time we had.
If you knew Aunt Lyn, please leave a story for us. My father, Norman Seifert, and my mother, Alice Seifert, my two sisters, Becky Seifert and Anne Seifert Karr, and my husband and I would love to hear your stories.
