MARTIN STEIN Obituary

STEIN--Martin Frederick (Fritz), Jr., M.D., of Bronxville N.Y., died November 11, 2013 after a sudden stroke. He was 77 years old. A native New Yorker and graduate of Columbia University, he received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in 1962. He devoted his career to the care of patients with kidney disease and served as Medical Director of St. Joseph's Hospital in Yonkers, NY. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend and humanitarian. He took great pride in his military career as a Colonel in the US Army Reserves. He is preceded in death by his wife Sheila S. Stein and survived by his sister, Gayle Bishop of Texas, six children and fourteen grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 16th at 11am at the Reformed Church of Bronxville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Wounded Warriors Project at www.woundedwarriorsproject.org or the Alzheimer's Association of Hudson Valley at 2900 Westchester Avenue, Suite 306, Purchase, NY 10577-2552.
