Marvin Markowitz Obituary

1927 - 2014
Marvin Markowitz, 87, peacefully passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach Florida on June 10, 2014. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 26, 1927 to the late Bertha and Samuel Markowitz. Marvin graduated from Syracuse University where he met and married his first wife, Joan Rosling in 1953.
Later in life, he married a second time to his true love, Francine Sarah and became a beloved member of the Acorn Ponds, North Hills NY and the Indian Springs, Boynton Beach communities. A successful realtor, music enthusiast and passionate back seat liberal politician, Marvin was an exceptionally proud grandfather and great grandfather.
Marvin Markowitz is survived by his wife, Francine, his children Donald Markowitz, Ellen Markowitz-Edeburn, Larry and Steven Newhouse, his grandchildren David, Lindsay, Jason, Calista, Spencer, Sam and Sadie and his great granddaughter Adrianna.
Funeral services will be held at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, (1115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, Florida) 11:15am Monday, June 16th, 2014. As one of the last of the great generation, Marvin Markowitz (Navy) will be laid to rest at South Florida Veterans National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to the cancer fund of choice.

If you knew Marv, you will surely miss him.......if you did not know him, you missed out. He was truly a delightfull, engaging person whose persona just made you wish to be around him. The good Lord just needed another saintly soul to help him out. Bless you Marv.........always. Hal Weston
