MASON BARRETT Obituary

BARRETT--Mason Daniel,

longtime resident of Greenwich, CT died at home February 3, 2017, age 104. Born in Jacksonville, FL to Mary Goff Palmer Daniel and Richard Potts Daniel, Mason was an active member of Green Fingers Garden Club, Christ Church Greenwich, and Round Hill Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward W. Barrett, former dean of Columbia School of Journalism, and by her brother, Jaquelin James Daniel, former publisher of Florida Times-Union. She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Barrett and Margo Barrett, both of Huntington, VT and by her sister, Mary Palmer Daniel Thompson, of Nashville, TN. Memorial service Wednesday, March 29 3:00pm at Christ Church, Greenwich, 254 E. Putnam Ave., Greenwich CT 06830. In lieu of flowers, donations to Christ Church Greenwich or Daniel Memorial, 4203 Southpoint Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32216.
