Sandy and I extend our deepest condolences to you, Ali and families.
We always will remember Matt, as my college roommate and source of enlightenment (primarily political), as Moderator of the student strike against the Vietnam War in the spring of 1970 (I think he was one of the few, if not the only person who knew Robert's Rules of Order!), as a strident protester in the march on Washington that same year (before leaving, he gave me an envelope with instructions in case he didn't return!), as an awesome air guitarist (most notably in response to my playing of Delaney and Bonnie & Friends/On Tour with Eric Clapton), as the inspiration for my use of roll-on deodorant [my classes typically were in the early morning and my use of Old Spice spray (Psssssstt) would wake him up!!], and as the Best Man at our wedding (we still have the torn brown paper bag on which he wrote his toast' to the newlyweds!). Mostly, however, Matt was a great friend and we'll miss him.

From college days in MA to grown up life as neighbors in Brooklyn . . . We thought of Matt always as truly one of the good guys. May his family and friends find comfort, and May his memory be for a blessing.
