MELVIN FINKELSTEIN Obituary

FINKELSTEIN--Melvin. In Loving Memory, Melvin Finkelstein, age 98 of Delray Beach, Florida. Survived by wife Elaine (nee Hornick) Finkelstein, children Lawrence (Barbara Salwin), Amy, William (Geralyn Ganzekaufer), grandchildren Andrew (Michele Kahne), Jeffrey, Joseph, Anna, and Sarah, great-grandchildren Josh and Ross, loving brother to the late Zelda Bloom, uncle to William and Lois Bloom (Herb Eisenberg) and Louis (Wendy Mann) and Blake (Elizabeth Reamer) Hornick. An ardent Mooween camper; Mel proudly served in the US Navy during WWII; was a supportive alum of the University of Pennsylvania (W'49); served as President of the House of Westmore and as a beauty industry consultant. Mel was known for his generosity, philanthropy, and empathy; his sense of humor and was an irrational golf fanatic. A man of great wisdom, one of his many sayings was "Wear life like a loose garment." He will be missed.
