I just learned of Mike's passing yesterday. Mike took me from operations at Lehman Brothers and helped me become a short term trader. I will never forget it when he said Larry fell wants to see you in his office. I thought I did something wrong. There he stood behind Larry Fell, who said, "Bill, welcome to the professional staff at Lehman Brothers". Mike was grinning all the time, proud and happy for me. He not only set me on my way, but created an example of how one should treat people, and give people an opportunity. I had the pleasure of dining in his home in Manhasset circa 1988, as well as in Hampton Bays. I think he always new was he came from, and always knew how fortunate he was to have gone where he went. He treated all with that understanding in mind. He was a wonderful mentor. I will miss him very much. I aspire to treat others as he treated me.

It is with sadness that I just learned of Michael's passing. I felt compelled to write and say that I have always had such fond memories of Michael. He was a good person and boss. I am especially grateful for Michael's mentorship at the start of my career. He promoted me to head a team of all men, which was a brave move 25 years ago in the finance industry. I will always remember his sense of fairness and belief in me. It is nice that he has left his mark on so many. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

Dee Dee and family especially young Michael.
In the true Irish Tradition It was a pleasure to know Mike and not a day goes by without one of his witty sagacious cracks about life that I repeat.
It was an honor to know him and to have worked with him.
His name brings a smile to my face.
From cyo hoops to the complex world of finance Mike made it real and always made sure you through thick and thin he was there for you, Thank you Mike!
A True Fine Irishman was he!
