I was very saddened to hear of Cousin Morty's passing. I remember so well how my mom relied on him throughout the years. His support and generosity to our family will always be remembered and appreciated. He always would tell my mom that I should come visit and I am so sorry that distance kept me from doing so. My heart goes out to all of you at this sad time.

Dear Enia, Helen and Morris,
We were saddened to hear of Morty's death. He was a dear friend to all of us especially my father and mother. We recalled celebrating Passover in Mamaroneck as our family sat around the seder table this Pesach . We reminised about Morty's fervor for Yiddishkite, his sense of humor, and love of tennis.
We send you our deep condolences.

I mourn the passing of Mortimer J. Propp last Friday, 4/25/08. He always provided a most sincere interest and unending support for my study of the history of the Propp family. He supported Jewish causes through out the world and mentored and provided leadership in common efforts for so many causes. I found him the highest example of what a man’s life may mean to the world he lives in and to those who knew him.

My thoughts are with you at this time. I will always be thankful for Cousin Morty's help through the years. When I look at the plaque in honor of my mom at the Kingston Hospital, it speaks of Morty's generosity and his devotion to family.

Dear Enia, Morris and Helen:
The special niche in the world that your husband and father, Morty, occupied has a tremendous void. His respect for Yiddushkeit, for learning and for helping those in need is unforgettable. I am grateful to have shared some special moments. May his memory be for a blessing as he continues to watch over from his heavenly abode. My sincere condolences, Gert Arfa

We were so very sorry to learn of Morty's death. He meant so much to so many. As I (Lou) reflected on the past, I gratefully remembered a summer vacation that I spent with you. You were so kind. It was one of my fondest memories. I'm also so grateful to Morty for helping me get a job at Morris Goldman & Son Realty while I was attending NYU. He was truly a mentor to me.
We are sorry that we didn't get to see all of you in the recent past. We will miss Morty, but hope that we will have the opportunity to see you in the not too distant future.
