Nancy Owens Obituary

1923 - 2016
No text is harder for me to write than this one. My mother, Nancy G. Owens, was living with in-home health care in Jacksonville, FL when I, her son, got a call from her physician that her time for passing was near. I immediately made arrangements to have her flown to my house in Tucson, AZ on February 29th, 2016 and had hospice care ready; she was ecstatic to be with me. I made her remaining days as comfortable as possible, passing away from a brain hemorrhage on April 17, 2016. Her husband, Robert S. Owens, passed away March 24, 2012, leaving behind two daughters and a son: Karen Owens Menger, Cynthia Owens Lurix and James Robert Owens. She graduated from the Morristown-Beard School, Morristown, NJ and attended the Maryland College for Women. Our mother is interred next to her husband at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bernardsville, NJ. Your children love and miss you so much!

It has taken me more than a year to look at the photos of you. It's hard yet joyous to do so. I love and miss you, mom. Love, Jim
