My condolences to Dr. Shafer's family. He was a fine doctor and good person and will be missed by his many friends and patients.

Nat was the most brilliant doctor and a very dear friend. I would walk into his office and before I could say a word he would tell me what was wrong with me. I often stopped by just to say hello and he would offer me half of his tuna sandwich and we would take the dog for short walk. There will never be a doctor like Nat again. My deepest sympathy to his wife, Evie, and his family.
