So another year goes by without Neve's presence. He is missed! It's wonderful to hear his family is growing. He would have been a doting grandfather.
I think of Neve now whenever we launch Netflix, his favorite career job. It's like he is saying hello when the logo appears on the screen. (-:

Another year passed without Neve and we still miss him. He would have been 80 in November and had another grandchild. All the grandchildren know of Granpa Neve. I am sure he is still reading The NY Times so he is up to date with all the news of the world!

I think of Neve often and can't believe it's been 7 years since he left. I am reminded of him when I spot a NYT on an airplane seat. I miss his funny emails and the occasional lunches we would have when he was in town. My thoughts are with his family this Holiday season.

We are surprised and delighted to read the messages and memories left here about Neve even seven years after his death. We are remembering Neve, husband and father (and now grandfather to 4 little grandchildren) and think of him every day. Once again we are off to his favorite spot for a proper Vermont Christmas. He will be there in spirit, sitting by the fire with his beer and New York Times.
We miss him.

Best account guy who ever worked with me (at Garland-Compton in London) and I would have learned so much, and been so much wiser, had I ever worked with or for him in later years!

I worked alongside Neve at Compton Advertising in the late 60's. He really was a terrific person and extremely helpful .
We had some great times together.
Just caught up with his story this week.

I remember visiting the Savages at Christmas in the 50s when they lived at Chalfont St Giles in Buckinghamshire. Neve was always perceptive about the Christmas 'spirit' and his sentiments have stayed with me ever since. A thoughtful and lovely man.

I was JUST thinking about Neve the other day!! Inspired by sitting in one of my favorite Hollywood Era movie theatres in Berkeley & remembering a conversation I had with Neve while we were on a NETFLIX research project together discussing why we really STILL love going to a movie theatre even as streaming movie to your home became available. He described how he & his wife enjoyed going out to the movies together and it was a regular date for them. Just one of the MANY wonderful qualities of Neve enjoying fun times with his family. What a heart that man had...

I don't know why but Neve popped in to my head today. I googled to see if he was still about and was so saddened to see he passed. Neve, you were a great boss. Thank you so much for having hired me and believing I could do the job. If it weren't for you I don't think I would be where I am today. Safe travels in the cosmic soup. x

As psychologists we had the pleasure to work and travel with Neve while he was at Netflix. We had so much fun and remember one of our trips to Oklahoma City, where Neve visited the museum for the bombing of the federal building. We spent one of our down times at the Cowboy Museum. We conducted ethnography studies for Netflix and spent a lot of time together. I helped a friend restore a house years ago in Londonderry Vt. where Neve also had a home. Neve was one of the kindest, smartest most likable people we have known. He shared many stories of his life was particularly proud of his children and his wife. We just, by chance learned of his passing and are so saddened. Our condolences go out to Ann and the other family members. We will miss him. Bruce Brody and Lin Druschel [email protected]

The world has lost a most unique man and I've lost a good friend. Neve was my manager at AT&T Wireless and I found him to be smart, witty and just a whole lot of fun. We had both spent many years in advertising agencies so we had lots of good stories to share about that crazy business.
We often traveled together for business and I recall one trip to NYC where Neve made me walk for hours so he could show me his most favorite city. He loved his NYT, too, always leaving a pile of rumpled newspaper in his airplane seat after he departed. He was one to appreciate a pint and a rousing game of British soccer.
Neve loved his family and was so proud of each of his kids. My thoughts are with them, and Ann, as they adjust to life without Neve.

This is very sad. I worked for Neve at AT&T Wireless and he was a tremendous leader. He treated everyone from clericals to VPs with the same respect. I've often thought of him since we parted ways. My condolences to his family, he was a wonderful man.

On behalf of everyone at Quinn Fable who had the pleasure of working with Neve, our deepest condolences. Neve was one of the most kind, gentle, brilliant men I have ever worked with as a client. Under the most horrific pressure, Neve always remained calm and cool -- and demonstrated the most professional poise and grace. He will surely be missed by so many.

Neve was a special man with rare depth of character. I was gifted to work directly under him at Ogilvy and admired his intelligence, sense of humor, integrity & - most importantly - his deep love of family. He spoke of Ann, Sarah-Jane, Megan & Truan often and with great joy. I am saddened by his death but trust that his spirit remains with his family & the many other people he touched in his lifetime. He is fondly remembered by all of us.

So very sad a loss to anyone who has the privilege of knowing him. An early Ogilvy boss, a forever and loyal friend decades. I feel luck to have had lunch with him over the Summer. I will miss you Neve. The Roths will always be there for Ann and your family. Our deepest condolences from Edie and Me .

I knew him for a bit at Cadwell, Davis , Savage. He was the gentleman of the agency. I remember his kindness and humor in the midst of often tense and busy times. So very sorry to his family. I am sure he leaves a wealth of wonderful memories. May they bring you comfort.

Neve was the first (and probably the smartest, funniest and most sardonic) Account Executive I ever had, who went on to far eclipse me in every way, and Ann was the best Secretary (to Ron Rimmer) I was ever able to share a part of (purely professionally, and boy was she tough on me if i didn't ask nicely!), both of whom (with Son Truan) I was so thrilled to catch up with in Sydney in January 2007. Neve and Ann were the couple I admired most for decades and that admiration will never diminish...cmm

I only knew Neve for the last 10 years but his positive mark on my personal and professional growth is indelible. He was great to work for and always generous with his knowledge and time. Not to mention his sense of humor and excellent taste in beer and wine. Neve was like no other and will truly be missed.

Neve, I miss you.
I'm glad we had that lunch just 3 short weeks ago and that you and Ann were able to make our wedding in May.
You were a quiet, introverted analytic who could become funny and engaging at the drop of a hat. It was one of your most endearing qualities among many.
Above all, you were a decent man and a wonderful friend.
Come next November, I will raise a glass to you to keep on our joint birthday celebrations.

This pains my heart. Neve Savage was one of my first client-side heroes in advertising. I was at the bottom of the food chain but he treated me like gold. He taught me the realities of ad life and the value of fighting for an idea.
Plus, he had an accent. And he looked like Santa. Not to mention he oversaw the largest-scale shepherd ad campaign in US history. And mlife. Remember that one?
He was a great guy and will be missed.
