Nick was one of my best friends in my late teens and early twenties. He was so loyal to me as a friend. He has saved my life on multiple occasions, and the things him and I have seen together would fill several books.

Nick and I would adventure together. He was such an adventurous soul. When he started working in this fancy neighborhood he drove me through the different mansions he had been working in and peeked in the bushes through a couple of them. We loved to dream together. We often talked about how we would be in one of these mansions one day. How we would be happily married to only the most handsome of men, and forever list 19 years old as our age. I will never meet another soul whose fire and light shined as bright as his. We drove all over Washington and the city together. From yachts on the lake to beat down cars barely getting us to Everett and back he was always down for an adventure no matter where life took us.

Nicholas was my friend and roommate. He was a kind and devoted friend, an artist, a citizen that was interested in community development and an avid admirer of New York City. He enjoyed music and art and everything avant- garden and part of the Vanguard but always down to earth and fully relatable to all. His sense of humor was another layer of delight that made him so magnetic. He was a light of happiness, hope. inspiration and resilience that was put out too soon. I miss him greatly,

Nicholas Brittain was my closest guy friend at Mount Bachelor Academy. It hurts my heart to know you have passed away. My love goes out to your family and close friends. You will forever be the delightful person that was with me each day that we went through some tough times in our teenage years. You made each day brighten up with your smile and wits. I wish I still had photos of us from then to share in memory of our friendship. God be with you and your family. Love, Rebecca.
