PATRICIA RALPH

RALPH--Patricia "Pat" Tauck, passed peacefully February 20, 2022 at 93. Pat grew up in New Jersey and earned a BA at Douglas College in 1950. Soon after, she married Bob Ralph and moved to Long Island. In the 1960's she attended The Art Students League of New York. Pat was an accomplished realist painter. Her portfolio includes Long Island and California landscapes, waterscapes, and urbanscapes, still lifes, and portraits. She was widely knowledgeable about art history and often referenced historical masterpieces in her work. Her works are included in collections of the Heckscher Museum, the Long Island Museum, the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, and numerous private collections. She was active on committees at The Heckscher Museum of Art, and a founding member of the Art League of Long Island. Pat had a great sense of humor and an optimistic and generous spirit. She considered being a mother and spouse among her most important life commitments. She was predeceased by her husband Bob, and sister Meredith Bachman. She is survived by sons Steven (Susan Donahoo), Neil, and Yohah (Moira Boyce), grandson Soren, sister Connie Wright, brother Arthur Tauck, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Huntington, NY at a future date.
