Dear Nick, Jason, Andrea and Gregory: when I was in college I worked for your Dad at your house. I saw Pat and Eric every day and adored them both. They were at my wedding many years back. You guys we’re kids but really not much younger than I was. I went by my middle name Beth then. You all may remember me. I’m a few years late in the condolences but wanted to send you all my best. Dear Nicholas, Gregory, Jason and Andrea:
Although we haven't met all of you , your folks always spoke so lovingly about the four of you and the growing family. We extend our deepest sympathy. We got to know Pat and Eric when Pat and I served together on the NY Downtown Hospital Board for close to 20 years. She was always devoted to women's health issues, patient care and the community. We will miss her spirit and friendship but fond memories of special times will stay with us.
Warmly,

Andrea, Nick, Greg & Jason!

Many years ago(I was about 12)my mom and I were in town visiting from CT. During our stay there was this horrible blizzard that shut down the city. Needless to say we were stuck at your mom's house for 3 extra days. Now as I remember your mother's house wasn't exactly an entertainment mecca for children. After playing pool by myself upstairs and coloring I was climbing up the walls! Fed up my mother (Maggie)suggested I go cross country skiing. reluctantly Pat asked Conrad to fetch some old rossignol skis from the basement. Next thing I know I was tromping out the door down 71st and up Park Ave! I was a sight to see in the middle of the deserted city street. Your mother was always amused by my mom's vitality and shenanigans. She would often encourage it to her chagrin. Throughout the years your mom would be my sympathetic ear when fights between my mom and I would flair up. More recently she helped me cope with the loss of my mom in May. I remember my mom telling me about when they were young and she lived across the street. The friendship that our mother's shared was truly lifelong!
Her laugh, her smile, her voice, her style. Her strength, her poise, her gifts, her joys. Lets celebrate a life well-lived and a person well loved!

I met Pat the first time in 2000 and from that time I always being in touch with her and lived in the house for a few months when I worked in NYC. My family and I had the nicest summer in 2013 visiting Pat and family in Ossining.
I can't forget her.
She will be in my memory forever.

My last visit with Pat was in June. We went to The Beach and she had a burger, very rare... Like always!! Over all these years, she was a touchstone for so many of my transitions to adulthood, in ways she would have shrugged off, I believe: Her matter of factness gave one strength and resolve.

Pat, you were a window and a door to my future, and you did that for many. I know the family knows how much I loved and respected her, and how deeply I hold you all in my heart. -Rozie

As a student of Dr. Harry Bakwin,Pat's father, and as a long term associate and co-trustee at the New York Downtown Hospital, I mourn Pat's passing. For the many decades I have known her, she has been integrally involved and personally committed to innumerable humane issues. Her absence will be a real void.

Brent and I are greatly saddened by the passing of Patricia. The entire Mohawk Valley region owes both her and Eric an endless debt of gratitude for the restoration of the Beekman Mansion. Nicholas, Gregory, Jason and Andrea...we were always so tickled when your mother would send us an email approving of something she'd read we were doing with the farm. You and your families are always welcome to visit. Deepest condolences on your loss.

My mother and I are deeply saddened by your loss and we mourn the passing of an iconic woman. My mother has been flooded with wonderful memories of a friendship that spanned over four decades and rallied to continue today as she thought your mother would have wanted her to, by moving forward.
