PAUL MIRMAN Obituary

MIRMAN--Paul Steven, Esq., of Brooklyn, NY, died September 27, 2014, after a fierce battle against the multiple sclerosis and its effects that plagued him for the last 23 years. Mr. Mirman grew up in East New York, attended Thomas Jefferson High School, Brooklyn College, and Brooklyn Law School. He was proud to have been a plaintiff's personal injury attorney and to have represented significant numbers of injured New Yorkers since his admission to the New York State Bar in March, 1969. His original office was in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn, where his name was emblazoned across the top of the corner building at Rockaway Parkway and Flatlands Avenue. Mr. Mirman's down-to-earth, magnetic personality drew thousands of New Yorkers to him for representation. He was one of the first lawyers in New York City to take advantage of attorney advertising, which he did on the subways, buses, in print, and on radio and television. Numerous young lawyers came through his office, learning from him to litigate, try cases, and most importantly to stand up and fight for their clients. In addition to his wife, the former Michele Turchin, Mr. Mirman is survived by their children, Phoebe and Matthew; by John and Lawrence, sons of his first marriage; his brothers Ronald, Alvin, and Leonard Mirman; and four grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Monday, September 29, 2014, at 12:45pm at Sinai Chapels, 162-05 Horace Harding Expressway, Fresh Meadows, NY. (718) 445-0300. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society http:// www.nationalmssociety.org/ The family will be accepting visitors at the home of Michele Mirman on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, September 29 through October 1, 2014, from 4pm-8 pm.

paul,

You always been my version of George Steinbrenner. A winner and someone who strived for perfection. you spoke from the heart and you allowed me to speak from mine.

I will never stop calling you a warrior because since I've known you, I've never heard you complain about having MS, the ailments that comes with it nor used it as an excuse not to succeed.

I wish I hugged you the last time I saw you , but I will settle with telling you that I will forever be grateful & appreciative for what Ms. Mirman and you have done for me..

My prayers go out to the entire Mirman family....hoping my prayers will be answer one day with cures to all cancers, MS and all other diseases....

I will miss you................GOD BLESS
