PAUL MORRISSEY Obituary

MORRISSEY--Paul Joseph, age 86, died on October 28, 2024 in New York, NY. Paul is survived by his brother Kenneth Morrissey of St. Louis, and his niece Marisa Crawford of New York City. He was preceded in death by his sister Justine Indri, brother Robert Morrissey, and brother Peter Morrissey. Paul was born on February 23, 1938 in Yonkers, NY to Joseph and Eleanor Morrissey. He graduated from Fordham University in 1959 with a degree in English. Paul was a devoted cinephile and amateur photographer who, in the early 1960s, turned his talents to filmmaking, becoming one of the most influential and accomplished directors of the 20th Century. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30am on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Frank E. Campbell, with a reception and interment at Calvary Cemetery to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Paul's life. Condolences can be delivered to www.frankcampbell.com
