PEG MICHELMAN Obituary

MICHELMAN--Peg. The Board of Trustees, administration and staff of Blythedale Children's Hospital in Valhalla, NY, mourn the passing of our dear friend and longtime trustee, Peg Michelman. Peg served on the Hospital's Board from 1988 to 2009 and was an honorary trustee for the last 14 years. She held several important leadership positions including Chair and Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Hospital's Executive Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, and Nominating Committee. Peg was a tremendous ambassador for Blythedale and a tireless, passionate and devoted advocate for medically fragile children. She was instrumental in developing the Hospital's first unit for ventilator-dependent children - a program now considered a national center of excellence. Peg's legacy of support and advocacy endures, and she will be missed deeply by all who had the privilege of working with her. We extend our sincere condolences to her entire family. Scott R. Levy, Chair Board of Trustees Larry Levine, President & CEO Blythedale Children's Hospital Valhalla, NY
