Peter was an icon in the advertising industry and I had the great pleasure of working with him. Dailey & Associates was the advertising agency for Mexicana Airlines while I was Advertising Manager for the U.S., Canada and Japan. More than the strong leadership and creative talent the agency provided, Peter was a friend and mentor. While Ronald Reagan was running for President, his campaign HQ was in our building and we offered use of our conference room to him through our close ties with Peter. Peter´s talented team left an indelible mark on Mexicana´s brand and he left the same on his many friends at Mexicana. We salute him and send warm regards to the family.

Dailey & Associates was the advertising agency for Mexicana airlines while I was Advertising Manager for the U.S., Canada & Japan. During this time, Ronald Reagan was running for President and Peter was supporting him in the campaign, which also had the campaign offices in our building. They used our conference room for meetings, as their offices had none. It was an honor to know and interact with these outstanding men. It was a different time. So much has changed.

My grandmother worked for the Daileys when they owned the Running Y. When she was much to old to work they kept her in their employ.I think they must have hired her another house cleaner to do the actual work. They gave her a roundtrip airplane ticket to see her sister for Christmas one year who lived in Detroit . I think she got some Irish whiskey glasses with Peters name on them when he became ambassador she was very proud of.I just really can not say enough about how kind your mother and father were to her . She had saved their Christmas cards and from those I looked up and realized your father had passed. My grandmother's name was Mercy Slusher your might remember her from her wild plum jam that she made from plums on that property or the apas she liked a native American potato that grew there as well .

Gwili and I send our condolences to the Dailey family. We were with them in Ireland and have stayed in touch every year since. Without question Peter was the best, most effective, most thoughtful and considerate Ambassador we served with in the Foreign Service. He and Jackie were an amazing couple and we will continue to remember them fondly.

Like Peter, I started my advertising career working in the mail room at Erwin Wasey in Los Angeles. Pete was an inspirational role model for all of us. He was instrumental in my attaining success both in the advertising business and throughout my life. All of us have benefited from having known Pete.
Rest in peace my friend.

My father Tom Weber played at SC the same time as Pete played at UCLA, but they did not meet until both served in the Navy. Pete and Jackie and my mom Nancy and dad Tom became good friends and stayed in touch. When I came from Ohio to go to SC the Daileys took me under their wing, inviting me to parties and share Thanksgiving with them. Dad has passed, but mom Nancy and I send our condolences to the family and we cherish our memories of the Dailey's friendship and acts of kindness.

You didn't have to have a political preference to work at Dailey and Associates, just a love for what you did there and for the people you worked with. This was
because of the leadership of Pete Dailey. I spent 6 years at Dailey and Associates and looked forward to seeing his smiling face and wit. I never forgot this time in my career nor the leader who kept it simple, comfortable and happy. Rest in Peace Pete - you are now with your beloved Jacqueline

I had the privilege of working with Peter Dailey from 1976 until he left Dailey and Associates to pursue other ventures. He was a remarkable person. He knew everyone one at Dailey and often walked the halls just to say Good Morning to everyone from the mail person to the Cliff.
Blessing and comfort to his family.

There was no great friend than Pete Dailey. Spike and I are so fortunate to have spent some quality time with him and Jackie during the 40 years we knew him. May a choir of angels sing him to his rest (paraphrasing Hamlet). We will miss him terribly. Michael, Biz, Paddy Syd and Peter....please accept our heartfelt condolences.
