PETER KAPLAN Obituary
Manhattan Psychiatrist and Psychopharmacologist Peter M. Kaplan M.D. died on August 1, 2018, at 59 years of age. Dr. Kaplan specialized in treating children and adolescents. He practiced in NYC and in Bridge Hampton, NY, where he had a private practice for 34 years. Dr. Kaplan was the son of renowned Psychiatrists Harold I. Kaplan, MD and Helen Singer Kaplan, MD, PhD. Peter is survived by his son Wildon, his brother Philip, Jennifer, many patients he helped over the years and his longtime companion Elizabeth Fierstein. A memorial service will be held the 10th of October, 7pm-9pm at 1625 East 3rd Avenue NY. If you are having problems finding the Memorial service you can call (929) 389-5088. Dr Peter Kaplan was Not my doctor but my best Friend I miss him so much, I think of him every day, I used to see him once a week for my therapy, But we talked almost every day like Brothers, I'll miss Peter until the Final days of my life until we meet again. My deepest condolences to your Family and loved ones.
My special condolences to your brother Phillip, for whom you were the Lifetime Friend, and every day was starting with phone call from you, he will be missing you a lot.
I always will remember nice times we spent together with you and Phillip, our fun conversations.
You were a Good doctor and a Good friend, who left so much sadness behind. I know you touched lots of lives, helped a lot of people.
