I knew, and deeply admired, the entire Semler family in Paris in the late 1960s, when I babysat for their four lovely children and got to meet the Russian great-grandmother. I have often thought of the family during the ensuing decades, and I send my very deepest condolences to Tatiana, Helen, and Peter. I am forever grateful to have known the family.

We send deepest sympathy to the entire Semler family. We enjoyed a few wonderful but short years of knowing you in Arlington, and have thought of you often. Our hearts go out to you now as then. With all our love,
