Read MoreI knew, and deeply admired, the entire Semler family in Paris in the late 1960s, when I babysat for their four lovely children and got to meet the Russian great-grandmother. I have often thought of the family during the ensuing decades, and I send my very deepest condolences to Tatiana, Helen, and Peter. I am forever grateful to have known the family.
