Nelson reminded a group of us that this is the anniversary of Richard´s death. You didn´t know me but Richard and I knew each other as far back as the 80s. We were children together in New York...and then grew up a little more in LA. And I loved him. And I miss him. And I wanted tou to know he hasn´t been forgotten. Jane.

I just watched the New Year’s Celebration in GREAT PERFORMANCES. Anyone who prefers a donation to the Bowery Mission to flowers is a kindred spirit and a winner in my book. See you up there, pal... lots of good music there, no?

No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. However, take comfort in knowing God is with you and your family lean on him in your time of need & remember,

Richard: Gone way too soon but remembered lovingly by family and friends with a rich, creative legacy of passion (no pun intended) and artistry. My friendship with Richard began in the early ‘80s and crossed the country twice. We had eclectic things in common ranging from pop culture to memorabilia and we never lost touch. He was a supportive and interesting friend and his presence will be felt always...even in his absence. Richard’s passing reminded me of how interconnected we have been through a vast network of great friends and colleagues who all reunited (virtually!) to appreciate his many gifts. Condolences to everyone who cared about him & I have no doubt that we will continue the party together again. Meantime...Rest sweetly, pal.
