ROBERT CONNOR Obituary

CONNOR--Robert E., age 76, died on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Calvary Hospital in New York. Born in Manchester NH, Mr. Connor was the son of the late US District Judge Aloysius J. Connor and Beatrice Connor. He graduated from Georgetown University in 1956. His career in New York spanned three decades including several years as a Sr. Vice President of Advertising and Public Relations at Smith Barney. After retirement in 1996 he became a Trustee/Director for Allianz/Pimco Mutual Funds. He leaves his wife Tyrrell Cohalan Connor of Vero Beach, FL, and three children; Robert Jr. of NYC, Daniel of Shelton CT and Katherine of Stamford CT; a brother, James A. Connor of Hampton NH, two sisters, Hannah Tyson of Santa Fe NM, and Ellen Connor-Stahl of Hollis NH. A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday April 14th, St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 66th and Lexington, NYC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St. Vincent Ferrer or the New York Society Library. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Manchester NH at 11am, Thursday April 15th.

I was just a little kid when my Bro was at Georgetown.
But he always treated me like a grownup...never pulling punches, teasing me relentlessly...while instructing me in wit and truth. I will miss him...and I just realized today how much I will miss him!
