ROBERT SILVERS Obituary
The Trustees and staff of The New York Public Library deeply mourn the passing of Robert B. Silvers, a devoted member of the Library family, dedicated advocate, and supporter. He joined our Board of Trustees in 1997 and was named a Life Trustee in 2005. The Library is honored to be the home for the archive of The New York Review of Books, which will ensure that Bob's extraordinary work and legacy will be available for future generations. We are also grateful to honor his memory through the annual Robert B. Silvers Lecture, established through the generosity of his good friend Max Palevsky.
