I am saddened to hear about Ruth's passing. She was a mentor and role model to me, a friend, and a truly amazing and inspirational woman. She treated me like family when I lived in New York, and I will cherish my memories of her. Sending my deepest condolences to her family.

It is so very sad to hear of Ruth's passing. She was an inspiration and a true force. I had the privilege of being invited to serve on the board of NY11+ and always made sure that the students from Villa Maria College had a photograph with her at the annual opening reception. She had such style and panache. I will miss her passion for the design world and her love of life. My most sincere condolences to her family. I will always have the fondest memories.

Our sincere condolences to the Lynford family. I was saddened to read in yesterday's Times of Ruth's passing. It is a privilege to have know Ruth. We shared many wonderful times in pursuit of our common interests. She was a remarkable woman, way ahead of her time, and she leaves a legacy in her numerous accomplishments. She will be missed.
