I worked for Dr. Ratzan when I was in my 20´s, I had such adoration and respect for him. We had a patients parent that was absolutely absorbent towards me and truly shook me in my boots. Dr. Ratzan was having none of it and not only stood up for me, but threw the patient out of the office. Will always cherish him and remember him with such kindness. Dr. Ratzan, you were the best ! Always. Rest easy.

Just happened to be thinking of Sandy, so I searched for him and found this. I'm so sorry we lost touch over the years. I had great respect for Sandy and enjoyed our few encounters immensely. My condolences to Amy and the family. I hope our families can reconnect.

Rarely had a chance to interact with Sandy but about 10 years ago he called me in my capacity as chief of orthopedics at a community hospital and he as the same position at his hospital. He called to warn me about a fellow orthopedic surgeon who had a large backlog of untoward events and was applying to our hospital. That information was very helpful and dealing with this individual. Sandy's call Wass out of the blue, helpful and great appreciated.

Sandy, you were always a smiling face and a wonderful partner that I was proud to be associated with at the South Shore Ambulatory Surgery Center. Your kind spirit will be missed by all whom you knew and cared for. May you rest forever in peace.

So sorry to hear this. I was an intern at St Luke´s when Sandy was a resident and everyone thought we were married because we had the same last name. He was a lovely man and my condolences are heart felt .
