I spent five years with Shafqat in Cadet College, Hasan Abdal, a boarding school. And then had a chance to meet him a few times in our adult life after long intervals. He was always a very thoughtful, empathetic brilliant, engaging, fun and pleasant persona--a truely delightful human being. Ever infused with a noble cause, mainly the wellbeing of less fortunate, particularly in his country of birth Pakistan. These are rare individuals which makes this earth a better place and life worth living.

I had known Shafqat Ali Khan since our high school days at cadet College Hasan Abdal in Pakistan. He was a kind hearted human-being, a great basketball player and an exceptional leader. Last, we net was in Washington DC before COVID for lunch. I egret thst we couldn't get in touch due to incorrect phone # during his illness. May ASW bless his soul and grant patience to his family and children to bear his loss. Ameen.

Shafqat a fallen comrade and friend. We are not only deeply saddened but also devastated and traumatised by your untimely demise. Specially your dignified fight towards the end of your life with a terminal illness.
You lived a full life with possibly no regrets. You leave behind numerous friends, buddies, course mates and a host of admirers.
