I am very sad to hear this news. Dr. Gray was my analyst in my early 20s. I don't know the words to express my grief. It's like losing my parents all over again. RIP

Dr. Gray was a tremendous mentor, teacher, and leader. I first met her during my third year of medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and she became a mentor to me throughout my career. She took me under her wing and introduced me to psychodynamic psychiatry. Her love of psychiatry, and trying to understand and ameliorate the human condition led me to choose psychiatry as my specialty. She continued to be a mentor to me (and I am sure to many others) throughout medical school, residency, my military service and my civilian practice. I am forever indebted to her for believing in me, sometimes more than I believed in myself. I am sad to lose her but know that she will always be in my heart and mind. And I know that she is resting in peace now. Thank you again!
