SHELDON KATZ

KATZ--Sheldon, died on October 29th. He was a proud native of the Bronx, born 90 years ago to Minnie and Abraham Katz. He graduated from Brooklyn Tech with a BS and an MBA from NYU. After he completed a stint in the Air Force as a navigator on in-air refueling missions he retired as a Captain. He then began a successful 34 year career with Jos E Seagram and Sons. In 1960 he married Judith Stern and today they are most proud of their children Kenneth and Deborah (Rodney Pick) and their grandchildren, Tamar Katz (Michael Bloomberg), Gabriel Katz, Nina Katz and Casey Pick. Sheldon treasured his 44 year association with Temple Sinai in Stamford, CT, and experienced great joy from his relationship with his in-laws, his nieces and nephews, and his many friends. After retirement he and Judith traveled, including several well- planned car trips cross country. His greatest pleasure was working in his well-equipped basement wood workshop, reading books about American presidents, Pepsi, The Wall Street Journal and M&M's. May he rest in peace.
