I am so sorry for your loss. Stephen sounded like a wonderful man full of grit and wit much like the Fearon I know, Sarah named after her grandmother. I wish you all comfort and healing as you grieve.

Our deepest condolences to the Fearon family for the loss of a great man. He was the best of friends to my father Peter Schomer and took extra time and effort to keep our family, especially my mother, wrapped in that friendship and love after our father passed. Yes the handwriting in Steve´s many handwritten messages was messy, but to paraphrase the Velveteen Rabbit, it was only messy to "people who don´t understand [the love]". Godspeed Counselor.

I had the privilege of working with Stephen for many years. He provided sound advice and was a man of integrity. We became friends and pen pals. Stephen's letters to me - handwritten in black ink (always) would arrive every few months. I had to struggle to read his doctor-like handwriting. Somehow I managed. I will treasure his letters and cards. And so to you, my dear friend Stephen,
May the angels lead you on your way
To paradise and heaven's eternal day
May choirs of angels sing their best
And may you have everlasting rest

Sincere sympathy to Beth and all the family. Steven was a wonderful gentleman and we have such fond memories of his visits home to Dromintee in Armagh to spend time with his relatives. Thinking of you all at such a difficult time.

I am so sorry for the loss of Mr. Fearon. My biggest memory is vacationing with you all at Block Island and the great love he had for his wife and family.

My heart is breaking that we are losing another family member especially one so loved. Can you imagine the Irish ceili going on in heaven with the Fearon/Shea clans? I am going to miss those wonderful St Patrick's Day cards every March. My prayers are with you.

Steve Fearon was the only person who wrote letters to me when I was a lonely teenager in the US Marine Corps boot camp in 1957. I always remembered him for that kindness.
