I would like to express to the family what an impression this kind man made on my younger self in the big Wall Street world. I worked briefly as a secretary at MHT around 1985-1987, in a world that was so new to me. Mr. Goodhue made me forget to be nervous with humorous nod, a twinkling smile, a quick witty word. Always such quick humor and kindness. I will never ever forget that he made me feel at home and that he believed I could do the job when his secretary was out (which was on very rare occasion). After starting a family and moving away, I have often wondered how Mr. Goodhue and his lovely wife Judith are. I recall the days leading up to your wedding. Today I sat at the computer and found that this dear sweet man had passed. No doubt, you are in Heaven doing what you do best, sharing your joyful self, surely with wings doing Heaven only knows what. For all the joy you brought to this world, Thank you, sir. My sincere condolences and prayers to the Goodhue Family and your dear beautiful wife, Judith whom I only met once. We were introduced by Mr. Goodhue's own secretary. May God Bless and keep you all.

He is up there spreading his goodwill and humor to all just as he did here. A good man, a wise man a gentleman!

The dynamic of a room would totally change the moment Steve Goodhue walked in. Hearing his voice was like a bolt of fun energy; you just knew 'good' things were going to happen. I will miss you so much Monsieur "Bon Couleur" . Thank you for being my friend and my champion. Hug my mom for me. Bayly.

It was a great privilege for me to meet Steve in the early 1980's and remain his friend throughout the rest of his life. He was a great friend to all the Williamses, including my parents (Bill and Dana) to my brothers and sister and my own wife (Joy) and children. His wit and humor were legendary within our family and he fooled me many times with fake calls and set ups. I always relished our encounters. And whenever we needed his assistance on any matter, he was willing--and able--to help.
My heartfelt condolences to Judy and all the extended family. Steve was a great friend--one of the best men I've known in my life--and I will miss him almost as much as you will. It was an honor to have known him as I did.
In sorrow,
Toby Williams
