STEPHEN WEINSTEIN Obituary

WEINSTEIN--Stephen H., 85, died on April 10 at home with his loving wife by his side. He was born in the Bronx, the youngest of four brothers, lived in Queens and numerous other places, ultimately settling in East Windsor, NJ. He graduated from Queens College and received a PhD from Adelphi University in 1967. He served honorably in the U.S. Army and was discharged from the Reserves. Steve never wanted to be in the spotlight; he hated the thought of being a bother to anyone. He had a wonderful wry sense of humor, and was a reluctant traveler who usually enjoyed the experience. He was a lifelong Democrat who supported liberal causes and candidates. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Felice (nee Helman); a daughter, Jodi Weinstein, a son-in-law Rob Barrish and granddaughter Sarah of Skillman, NJ. He will be missed by nephews Robert Weinstein, MD of Brookline, MA, and Daniel Weinstein, MD of California, nieces Amy Weinstein of NYC, Judith Weinstein- MacCumber of Chicago, Miriam Weinstein of Providence, RI, and Amy Lourenco of Leesburg, VA as well as numerous friends. Services were private and under the direction of Star of David Memorial Chapel of Princeton, NJ.
