STUART KULLER Obituary

KULLER--Stuart S., who died in Pittsfield, MA at age 85, was known professionally in New York City as a wonderful dentist. But among old folk in his family who grew up with him, he was the best dancer, livening up family parties in his native Brooklyn. Before retiring, he bought a ramshackle cottage in West Stockbridge. A talented craftsman, he rebuilt it from the ground up, hooking his old VW to a tractor to level the land. He worked side by side with contractors to create a home with beautiful floors and cabinets, and then moved in, leaving Central Park West. A serious musician, he studied violin with Carlo Renzulli of the New York Philharmonic and regularly attended Tanglewood concerts, both chamber and orchestral. Stuart's edgy humor made festive dinners notable for jokes and laughter. I am only a cousin so others will know more and have better stories, but condolences are due his wife, Carol (Israel), daughters Robin and Betsy (Vlad Jelisavcic) and their four sons. Leslie Kandell

Please accept our sincere condolences, Dr Kuller was my family's dentist for many years. I fondly recall visits to the office with Ms. M and Dr. Kuller always gave my twin brother and I a kiss on our cheeks. He was so much fun and made what could have been as a child a terrifying experience and absolute pleasure.
