AGARWAL--Suraj Prakash. Suraj Prakash Agarwal, aged 84, passed away on December 13, 2024, in San Diego, CA. Born on April 28, 1940, in India, he led an exemplary life marked by dedication and hard work, and was deeply cherished for his heart of gold. Suraj embarked on his educational journey at the Government School Haldwani, and continued at Hindu Intercollege, Nagina, India. He further pursued his higher education at BITS Pilani, Benares Hindu University and the University of Illinois in Chicago, shaping a foundation that would support a remarkable career in pharmacy. He was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Faculty of Pharmacy at Jamia Hamdard and authored significant works including books on Physical Pharmacy and Humic Substances in Drug Development. His daily routines included starting his day with the New York Times, a testament to his love for reading, and he enjoyed walking, which kept him connected to his surroundings and nature. Suraj was a devout attendee of his local Hindu Temple, where he found peace and community. His life was a living example of dedication not only to his profession but also to his beliefs and values. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Uma, and their children Rohinee married to Rajesh, Sharad married to Nishita, and Anita married to Nidheesh. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Rajit, Riya, Priyanka, Malaika, and Akshaj, who will remember him as a pillar of strength and wisdom. Suraj will be deeply missed by all who knew him, as he touched many lives with his kindness and commitment to making a difference. His family and friends will carry forward his legacy of perseverance and generosity of spirit.
