SUSAN ORESKES Obituary
teacher, poet, community leader and a west side fixture for more than sixty years, died Sunday at Mt. Sinai St. Luke's Hospital of complications from pneumonia. She was 87. She is survived by her four children, Michael, Daniel, Naomi and Rebecca; her niece, Iris Nagin, and five grandchildren - Hannah and Clara Belitz and Ben, Louisa and Alexander Oreskes. Memorial service will be Friday, February 2, at 9:30am at the Plaza Jewish Community Chapel, 630 Amsterdam Ave. Contributions to The United Negro College Fund or The Southern Poverty Law Center.
