THEO BARNES Obituary

BARNES--Theo. Theo Barnes A.K.A. Theodore Barnes Stinchecum, AEA, ASCAP. Acted in leading character parts, including the title role in the national tour of "Hadrian VII." General Director of Theater Practice, where he trained actors and originated new performance works and plays. Part of the core company of the Judson Poets Theater in its heyday. Elsewhere he directed, designed and translated for the stage. Barnes graduated from St. John's College, Annapolis, MD. From Baltimore, he is survived by sister, Ida Belle Combs, nieces and nephews, former wife, Amanda Mayer Stinchecum, and his longtime partner, the Rev. Jerry Fargo. A celebration of his life is scheduled at Trinity Church (Episcopal), Asbury Park, NJ, Saturday, April 16 at 1pm. [email protected]
