Yesterday
Dr. Santilli was my pediatrician and neighbor; I will not forget her kind and gentle manner, her reassuring presence. (What a smile!) She was, in many ways, the ideal childhood doctor: unflappable, able to charm and calm both parents and children. As a kid growing up in the 80s, I had no idea how much she had accomplished, how many firsts she had achieved. I´m grateful that I received her care and am inspired by her dedication to her profession and her family.
