VIVIAN MILSTEIN

MILSTEIN--Vivian. We mourn the passing of our great friend and benefactor, Vivian Milstein, whose extraordinary support over decades has been vital to advancing all facets of cardiac medicine at Columbia University and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. The commitment of Mrs. Milstein and her husband, the late Seymour Milstein, to patient care, science and medical education has helped Columbia's cardiac programs rank consistently among the top in the world. We are grateful to have our name forever associated with this extraordinary family, with the naming of the Vivian and Seymour Milstein Family Heart Center and the Seymour, Paul and Gloria Milstein Division of Cardiology. As we carry on Vivian's legacy, we will miss her friendship, warmth and grace tremendously. We offer our deepest condolences to her children -- Constance and her husband, Said Abu-Kaud, Philip and his wife, Cheryl; her grandchildren -- Abby Black Elbaum, Joanna Milstein, Meredith Milstein, Joshua Milstein, Toby Milstein, and Larry Milstein; and the extended Milstein family.
