Dear Mrs. Diamond:

May I extend my deepest condolences to you and your family. Although I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Diamond, I know he was a remarkable man; and, he, along with you, made a significant contribution to graduate level legal education and our great country.

I have had the honor of being in your graduate program at St. Thomas University; and, am taking my last course at Thomas Jefferson School of Law before obtaining my LL.M.

In addition, because of you and Mr. Diamond, I will be able to pursue a J.S.D., in an area that is of extreme interest to me and not available anywhere else, while continuing to work and support my family.

Furthermore, your international tax program is helping to spread the spirit of freedom, perseverance, and the qualities of liberty that our country was founded upon. Also, it is very interesting that your program ends up, where it ought to be, at a college of law named after Thomas Jefferson, one of our Founders and a true believer in individual liberty.

Again, I am sorry for your loss but, Mr. Diamond’s spirit lives on through his family, friends, his program, and his students.

A most treasured and rare virtue in our world is generosity. Walter Diamond surely embodied this virtue. Mr. Diamond unselfishly shared his gift of knowledge and expertise with so many -- inspiring new generations of seekers even where he did not know them personally. He understood the seeker's thirst for knowledge, and graciously shared his through new teaching methods, as well as those traditional. As a new graduate of Mr. and Mrs. Diamond's taxation program at Thomas Jefferson School of Law (May 2008), I am grateful and honored to be part of this legacy. Mrs. Diamond, my family and I send our thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

Sweet, charming, brilliant Professor Walter Diamond lives on through all whose lives were touched by him. I am an alum (two LLMs) and a ongoing student (JSD) of the innovative Diamond International Tax Program founded by Professor William Byrnes and sponsored by Professors Walter and Dorothy Diamond. This wonderful program changed my life. I am so grateful. My love and thoughts are with Professor Dorothy Diamond at this profound, heartbreaking loss.

I am so sad to hear this news. Mr. and Mrs. Diamond have helped so many people with their publications, books, and educational institutions. I have two degrees from the Diamond Program in International Taxation from St Thomas University and Thomas Jefferson School of law, both fully on-line at ABA Law Schools, which would not have been possible without Mr. and Mrs. Diamond. This is a terrible loss. My prayers, thoughts and condolences are with the family.
