Warren P. Springer

SPRINGER--Warren P., 93, on Sunday, July 20, 2008 of Springfield, NJ died peacefully at home. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, South Orange, NJ on Wednesday, July 23rd at 9:30am. Interment St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit NJ. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, NJ on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Doctors without Boarders (doctorswithoutborders.org). He served in the Army during WWII and received a Silver Star for actions taken during the Battle of the Bulge. He was an Associate Professor of Prosthetics and Orthotics at NYU School of Medicine before retiring in 1985. He is survived by Mary his wife of 54 years, his two children Joseph M. and Mary A. Springer; three grandchildren Caitlin, Benjamin and Grace Springer; brother Frederick and his sister Alice Daley.
