GRIDLEY--William G., died November 29, age 85, at home in Norfolk, CT. Survived by wife of 60 years, Barbara G. Gridley; children, Katharine M. and William W. Gridley and spouses; four grandchildren. Attended St. Bernards School, Phillip Exeter Academy and Yale. Supporter of civil rights; vice chairman, board of Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, AL. An investment banker, worked at Chase Manhattan Bank, then American Express International Bank. Managed investments for Olayan Group, president of Brandywine Investors. Interests: art, literature, music, geography, science, the outdoors. Trustee of the Ellen Battell Stoeckel Estate, home of the Yale Summer School of Music and Art. Memorial service: January 10, 2015, 11am, Church of Christ Congregational, Norfolk, CT.
