WILLIAM RUDER Obituary

RUDER--William, died February 22, 2011. We have lost a very special man who was so loved, respected, and admired that it is unbelievable to think he is gone. He was truly unique in his unconditional love for his large family and many friends around the world. Bill was a romantic, an artist, and a superb professional whose wisdom, insights, and advice were widely sought. He will be with us forever. He had "such a good time." He is survived by his wife, Betty, his children, Robin (Daniel), Abby (Ellen), Brian (Ginny), Michal (Amy), Eric (Debbie), Jennifer Cott, and his grandchildren Dylan, Aaron (Kirsti), Sarah, Susannah, Adam (Amy), Jerusha, David, Aron, Eliza, Josh, Ethan, Jesse, and Mira. The funeral service will be private. There will be a Memorial Service on Wednesday, March 30, at 2pm, location to be determined. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the International Multiple Sclerosis Research Center on West 57th Street.

To the Ruder Family:
All my condolences on your loss. I never met Bill but having known his son Eric, I can imagine the kind of loving and thoughtful man he was -- the apple never falls far from the tree. May your memories of Bill in vibrant days carry you through this difficult period.
