BILLY PRICKETT Obituary

BILLY J. PRICKETT Billy J. Prickett ,76, of Dadeville, AL. passed away on April 12, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the chapel of Alabama Funeral Homes in Dadeville, AL. with Interment following the service in Tallapoosa Co. Memory Gardens with Rev. Ronnie Jennings and Pastor Rodney Siggers officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Prickett was born on May 12, 1936 in Sylacauga, AL. He raised his children in Harperville, AL. then moved to Dadeville, AL in 1982. Mr. Prickett coached Dixie Youth Baseball for many years, was a avid supporter of DHS Baseball and Softball. The 2000 recipient of the Eddie Williams award but the thing that give him the most joy in his life was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. "Roll Tide Daddy", you will be missed. Mr. Prickett is survived by his loving wife Betty Prickett ; four children Robin ( Randy) Foster , Johnny Prickett , Cathy (David) Cook and Ed (Marian) Prickett; Brothers and Sisters Doc Prickett, Bob ( Betty) Prickett, Peggy Wesson, Cheryl ( Gerald) Fredricks Robert (Joy) Edwards and Michael (Connie) Edwards; 7 grandchildren Zack (Ammie) Foster, Miranda (Courtney) Heard, Erik (Stacy) Prickett, Ian (Britt) Foster; 5 great grand children Cameron Heard, Madison, Brody, Payton and Briley Prickett. He was preceded in death by his parents Aaron and Annie Prickett; daughter-in-law Rhonda Prickett and grandson Chad Prickett.
