It was an absolute privilege to attend Dr Hall´s lectures in the early eighties. I can still see dye molecules going in and out the door. He was so well known that the auditorium was packed on regular basis. He had incredible intelligence, was a dedicated educator, and a gifted entertainer. RIP Dr! You inspired many and made us better.

Dr. Hall was an amazing human being. I found him to be a body of knowledge and kindness, humble and gracious, a giver to all he knew. Unbound intellect, always thirsty for knowledge , Dr Hall shared many great lessons with me, and I am sure countless others. He was a colleague of my father on the engineering faculty, through which I knew him casually, but more recently through a long professional relationship - by which I was heavily influenced and motivated. Rest peacefully, Dr. Hall, and quite simply- thank you, for everything! M OBrien

Dr. Hall was a wonderful professor! But he could also be the definition of an absent minded professor. He would lose track of the time and even though we, his students, were walking right past his office door, he would almost miss class. He finally told us "someone come get me". I always remember him saying, you won't remember something until it goes in your ear, through your brain, and comes out from your fingers on a piece of paper. I other words, take notes!

I remember well going to the Hall family farm and learning how to shoot a shotgun and hunt for deer when Lisa and I were in high school together. He was always smiling, laughing and welcoming. He was a blessing to so many. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
